Description: This activity examines the issue of light pollution and the changes of the night time sky illumination by using GIS data over a period of eight years. Students will make observations and make connections about how made changes have affected both our view of the night sky and the implications for other animals. This lesson supports Virginia's high school earth science Standards of Learning (SOL's): ES 14.
